Clinton Noren

Colonel (Ret.) Clinton Noren is a thirty-year Air Force veteran, serving as a pilot, aircrew member, and squadron commander. He logged over 9,000 hours of flying time in 20 different transport aircraft, including the C-124 Globemaster, the HC-54 and VC-54 aircraft. In 1968 and was sent to Vietnam to pilot the C-7A Caribou in which he flew flying 960 hours of combat time delivering supplies to Special Forces bases. In 1974, he transferred to Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina where he was a C-141 pilot.

Following retirement from the Air Force in 1988, employed by Hughes Aircraft Company he became a manager in the C-141 Aircrew Training System. In 1998, he became the manager of Stableyards Program and African-American History at Middleton Place Plantation, a plantation about 15 miles northwest of Charleston. Mr. Noren is married to the former Sandra Turbeville of North Charleston. They reside in Coosaw Creek in Charleston, South Carolina, and have three adult children and five grandchildren.
